Yogi Adityanath on Akhilesh Yadav Daughter: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly condemned the targeting of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter on social media. He said that it is wrong to make any daughter the subject of indecent and negative public discussion and such actions cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
Yogi expressed his displeasure in the meeting in Azamgarh
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath responded to the issue while addressing a public meeting organized during the inauguration of development projects worth over Rs 955 crore in Azamgarh on Saturday. He said that objectionable and lewd comments made against daughters are not only unacceptable but also unforgivable. There should be no place for this kind of language and behavior in society.
Instructions given to register FIR on social media post
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that recently this matter had come to his notice that some people were making inappropriate comments against Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter on social media. He said, “As soon as I got information about this, I immediately instructed the police officers to take action and register an FIR.” Yogi made it clear that the government will not tolerate any kind of negligence in matters related to the respect of women and daughters.
‘A daughter is a daughter’: Yogi Adityanath
In his address, the Chief Minister said that daughters are given special respect in Indian culture. He said, “A daughter is a daughter. We have been brought up in such values where the daughter of the village is considered the daughter of the entire village and the sister of the village is the sister of all.” He said that it is everyone’s responsibility to maintain respect and sensitivity towards daughters in the society and there should not be any kind of discrimination in this.
FIR registered against three people
This comment of Yogi Adityanath has come at a time when an FIR has been registered against three people for making an allegedly false and defamatory post viral on social media regarding the daughter of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The matter reached the cyber cell of Kanpur Police Commissionerate, where Samajwadi Party leaders had lodged a complaint. The complaint alleged that some people made objectionable and false claims by sharing the picture of the former Chief Minister’s daughter on social media platform ‘X’.
Allegations of morphed photos and false claims
According to the complaint, the picture shared on social media was accompanied by claims which were completely false and misleading. The complainant said that the photo was doctored and misrepresented. Samajwadi Party leaders alleged that this post was deliberately shared with the intention of defaming and spreading wrong message.
Yogi gave advice to Akhilesh Yadav
Supporting immediate action in this matter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also advised Akhilesh Yadav to keep his party workers and supporters under discipline. He said political differences have their place, but respectful language should be used towards women, senior citizens, elders and senior leaders. Yogi said, “Akhilesh ji often gives advice to others, but he should also see that his supporters and workers control their language.”
Party workers advised to exercise restraint
The Chief Minister further said that political parties should teach decent and responsible behavior to their workers. While indirectly commenting on the working style of Samajwadi Party, he said that it is the responsibility of the leaders to show the right direction to their supporters. Yogi Adityanath said, “You need to explain to your people. If they do not understand then hand them over to us, we will explain to them thoroughly.”
Government’s strict policy on respect for women
The Chief Minister’s statement also conveyed the message that the government is in favor of adopting a strict stance in matters related to the respect of women and daughters. Legal action will be taken against those who share false, abusive or defamatory content against any person, especially women and children, on social media.
