Honda Rebel 500, the middle-weight cruiser of the Japanese automaker, has been updated for 2026. This iteration, available in the international market, brings fresh colours to the machine.
However, this comes without any changes in the mechanical parts of the machine. It continues to use the same power unit and hardware with the same tech package that was available until now.
The Honda Rebel 500 base model will feature two new color options for MY26: Pearl Black and Pearl Smoky Gray. The high-end Rebel 500 SE variant will sport a new Pearl Blue hue. This cruiser is set to be available starting January 2026, with a price of $6,799 (approximately Rs 5.98 lakh) for the base variant and $6,999 (about Rs 6.15 lakh) for the SE.
In India, the Rebel 500 is currently available at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in a single version, imported via the CBU route. This cruiser is exclusively sold at Honda’s BigWing Topline dealerships located in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
The Honda Rebel 500 is powered by a 471 cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine paired with a 6-speed transmission. This 8-valve DOHC engine generates 45.5 bhp at 8,500 rpm and delivers maximum torque of 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm, with power designed for strong low and mid-range performance.
The cruiser features a tubular steel frame supported by telescopic forks at the front and dual rear shock absorbers from Showa. Braking is managed by a 296 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, both equipped with dual-channel ABS.
With the introduction of the Rebel 500, Honda has entered the premium mid-capacity cruiser market in India, aiming to meet the demand for comfortable, city-friendly motorcycles that can also perform well on highways.
