Putrada ekadashi rules: According to the Hindu calendar, Putrada Ekadashi is celebrated twice a year, one in the month of Paush and the other in Sawan. Due to falling in Shravan month, Putrada Ekadashi fast increases further. Every year on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month, Putrada Ekadashi is observed, which is on 5 August this time. Religious belief is that this fast leads to children, the obstacles in child happiness are removed and there is happiness and prosperity in the house.
Putrada Ekadashi is very special to please Lord Vishnu. On this day, devotees observe full reverence and rules and worship and worship. What should not be done on Putrada Ekadashi?
Do not lie – This Ekadashi fast is a symbol of truth and purity, so one should not lie during the fast.
Tamasic food forbidden – During the Putrada Ekadashi fast, do not spring tamasic food like garlic, onion meat, fish, egg, alcohol etc.
Avoid getting angry – Keep yourself calm, restrained and positive during Ekadashi fast. Also, stay away from fighting or debate.
Do not sleep during the day – There is a religious belief that gold decreases the virtue of fast by sleeping on the day of Ekadashi, so do not sleep during the fast.
Do not insult – Insult or evil of someone during Ekadashi fast can reduce the effect of the fast, so stay away from these works.
Do not break basil – Breaking basil on Ekadashi date is considered taboo, so Tulsi leaves should not be broken in Putrada Ekadashi fast.
Do not bite nails- Nails and hair cutting is inauspicious on Ekadashi, so avoid doing so. Also, beard should not be made on Ekadashi.
