Vikramaditya said: Disaster warning will be given in time, Japan -Korea technology will be implemented in Himachal – News Himachali News Himachali

Taking lessons from the increasing incidence of natural disasters, the Himachal Pradesh government is now taking concrete steps towards strengthening the pre -disaster management and early warning system. Incidents like heavy rains, landslides, floods and cloudburst are continuously damaging in the state. In such a situation, developing a warning system in time has now become the priority of the government.

Japan will implement Korea’s technology

A major effort in this direction was recently when the state’s Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh visited Japan and South Korea with a team of the Urban Development Department. During this time the delegation studied the functioning of disaster management models, technical arrangements, early warning systems and relief works of both countries.

Himachal will get a new roadmap

Vikramaditya Singh said that Japan and South Korea have already developed a disaster management system based on modern techniques and scientific systems, which can protect life from disasters in time. We have planned to mold technical information and strategies learned from these countries according to the geographical conditions of Himachal.
Will ask for cooperation from the center

He also informed that the Himachal government is working with the central government to get cooperation for the establishment of Early Warning System in the state. With this, the loss of public wealth will be minimized by issuing an alert before possible disasters in the state.

Ban on construction of river

The state government has also considered environmental imbalance and random construction as a major cause of disasters. In view of this, a complete ban has been imposed on the construction of government buildings near the river and drains. The government is planning to implement it on private and commercial construction later. At the same time, the process of comprehensive amendment in Town and Country Planning Rules has started, so that construction works can be made more secure and environmentally friendly.

Himachal became alert due to the effect of global warming

Minister Vikramaditya Singh also acknowledged that global warming and climate change have volatile the climate system of the state, causing sudden incidents such as changing weather, heavy rains and landslides. In such a situation, instead of focusing on relief work only after the disaster, we have to make people aware and secure in time.

Decisions being taken in public interest

These steps being taken by the Himachal government are not only important towards reducing the current crisis, but can also prove to be a milestone in the coming years to make the state a more secure, alert and sensitive towards climate.
