The monsoon trough passing through Chapra and the area of effective cyclonic winds in north-eastern-north-western Bihar is likely to continue in Bihar for the next three-four days. According to IMD forecast, there is a possibility of widespread rainfall in almost the entire state on Monday, August 4. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also estimated in many places. Orange alert has been issued for the entire state.

Possibility of heavy rain

According to IMD forecast, very heavy rains are expected in Western and East Champaran. There is a possibility of heavy rains at some places in districts like Shivhar, Buxar, Aurangabad, Siwan, Gopalganj and Saran. During this time there is also a possibility of lightning in the whole of Bihar. The wind speed is estimated to be 30 to 40 km per hour. During this time the temperature is likely to be normal or lower than normal.

Orange alert in these districts

In the last 24 hours, districts like Patna, Madhubani, Kishanganj, Siwan, Purnia, Bugusarai, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Samastipur and Nalanda have received heavy rains. From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sunday, 114 mm in Purnia, 105 in Motihari, 57 in Vaishali, 28 in Patna and 18 mm in Chhapra. Bihar has received 354 mm of rain in the monsoon season so far. As of 31 July, Bihar received 40% less rainfall than normal. This difference is now reduced to only 33%.

Youth dies due to lightning in Bhattar

22 -year -old Rahul Kumar, resident of Mirzapur Bhattar village, died on the spot due to lightning in Samastipur. After his death, there was chaos in his family and villagers. The police, who reached the spot, asked the family members to conduct the post -mortem of the deceased, but the family was not ready for this. In the end, the deceased youth was cremated. According to the information, the deceased youth Rahul Kumar was staying in Kushwaha Hostel in Samastipur for graduation after completing his intermediate studies. His father Ram Sagar Mahato works in Haryana. The deceased’s mother, younger brother and grandmother live at home.
