New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, is all set to close the online registration window for the IIT Joint Admission Test for Master’s (JAM) 2026 examination today, October 20, 2025. It has announced that the IIT JAM 2026 registration forms will be accepted only till 11:50 pm today. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility conditions set by the exam authority can apply online for IIT JAM 2026 examination through the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
IIT Bombay has also announced that the IIT JAM admit cards will be released on January 5, 2026. The IIT JAM 2026 examination will be conducted in two sessions on February 15. The IIT JAM result 2026 will be announced on March 20.

How to apply online for IIT JAM 2026 exam?
Step 1: Open the official website of IIT JAM at jam2026.iitb.ac.in
Step 2: Find the IIT JAM 2026 registration link or apply through JOAPS portal
Step 3: Register using the enrollment ID or email ID and password
Step 4: Fill in the IIT JAM 2026 application process with all details including academic and personal
Step 5: Scan and upload all the mandatory documents
Step 6: Submit the IIT JAM 2026 application form
Step 7: Download and keep the hard copy of IIT JAM 2026 registration form for future need
IIT JAM 2026 application fee
Candidates must pay Rs 1000 for one test paper and Rs 1350 for two test papers for the female/SC/ST/PwD category. It is Rs 2000 for one test paper and Rs 2700 for two test papers for all other categories.
The IIT JAM score is used for admission to IITs and other institutes to programs such as MSc, MSc (Tech), MS (Research), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree and Integrated PhD in various institutes.
