Rahul Gandhi accused the Modi government of increasing the prices of petrol and diesel in installments. He said prices have increased by Rs 8 in 2 weeks and called PM Modi ‘inflation man’.
New Delhi: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has made a big attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He alleged that the Modi government is picking the pockets of the general public by increasing the prices of petrol and diesel in instalments. Rahul said that after the elections are over, the price of petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs 8. Rahul Gandhi said that the Central Government is deliberately increasing the prices in installments so that people do not know and their pockets can be secretly cut. He warned that this increase in fuel prices will continue further. Rahul Gandhi also made a post in Hindi on social media calling PM Modi an ‘inflation man’.
Rahul said, “I had been warning for months that a big economic storm was about to hit the country. But Prime Minister Modi, as usual, ignored it. He was busy in elections.” He sarcastically said that ‘Inflation Man’ Modi has only one job – to make big promises at the time of elections and pick pockets of the public the rest of the time.
Increase of Rs 8 in two weeks
Inflation has once again hit the common people. The prices of petrol and diesel increased again in the country today. Today petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.61 and diesel by Rs 2.71. After this increase, the price of petrol in Thiruvananthapuram has become Rs 115.32 and diesel Rs 104.41. A total increase of Rs 8 has been made four times in the last two weeks.
• On May 15, petrol and diesel were increased by Rs 3 each.
• On May 19, there was an increase of 90-90 paise on both.
• On May 23, petrol became costlier by 87 paise and diesel by 91 paise.
• And today the price on petrol has been increased by Rs 2.61 and on diesel by Rs 2.71.
