When is the new moon of Adhikamas?

According to Drik Panchang, Amavasya Tithi will start on June 14, 2026 at 12:19 pm. It will end on June 15, 2026 at 8:23 am. Since Amavasya Tithi will be present at the time of sunrise on 15th June, hence as per the rules of Udayatithi, fasting, bathing, charity and worship will be done on 15th June only. On this day, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 11:54 am to 12:50 pm. Whereas Twilight Muhurta will be from 7:19 pm to 7:39 pm. Performing puja during these auspicious times is considered especially fruitful.

After this, clean the temple of the house and install the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu. Offer yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, sandalwood and yellow clothes to Lord Vishnu. Light a ghee lamp and perform the puja properly. Chant Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya mantra during the puja. Reciting Vishnu Sahasranama or stotras related to Sri Hari is also considered auspicious.
