Diwali 2025 puja method
On the day of Diwali, first of all choose a clean place for puja in the east or north direction of the house. Spread a red or pink cloth on a platform and install the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on it. Install Goddess Lakshmi on the right side and Lord Ganesha on the left side. After this, start the ritual worship of both Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.
Offer red flowers, lotus, rice, perfume, fruits and sweets to Lakshmi and Ganesha. Since Goddess Lakshmi loves puffed rice and sweets, be sure to offer them. Then, light the main lamp of ghee or oil and pray to Goddess Lakshmi for wealth, prosperity and peace. After this, perform Aarti with the entire family chanting “Om Jai Lakshmi Mata” and distribute Prasad.
After the puja, light lamps in all corners of the house to welcome Goddess Lakshmi. Be sure to light a lamp in the north direction, main door, ceiling and near the tap. Light a lamp in any corner of the house where it is dark. Keep the main lamp on throughout the night; This is considered extremely auspicious. Next morning, respectfully install the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha in the home temple.
