Diwali 2025: This year Diwali will be celebrated on 20th October. Worshiping Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on Diwali is considered extremely auspicious and beneficial. It is believed that on this day Goddess Lakshmi comes to earth and showers special blessings on her devotees. In this regard, a devotee asked Premanand Maharaj in which houses Goddess Lakshmi herself resides.
Mother Lakshmi enters these houses
Premanand Maharaj replied, “Maa Lakshmi is not just the goddess of gold, silver or wealth, she is also a symbol of energy, positivity and action. It is said in the scriptures that Goddess Lakshmi resides where there is enthusiasm and dedication. A person who does every work with dedication and devotion never endures poverty in his life. If any work has to be done tomorrow, start it today itself, because there is no better time than now. Laziness and negative thinking are the destroyers of Goddess Lakshmi. The biggest obstacle to arrival.” Therefore, one should always be active. Whoever remains engaged in his work, business or rituals through mind, speech and action, the house of Goddess Lakshmi becomes his permanent abode.
Premanand Maharaj further says, “An enthusiastic person has extraordinary strength due to which he can perform even the most difficult tasks with ease. But enthusiasm alone is not enough; gratitude is also necessary. One who accepts the kindness of others and has a feeling of gratitude is truly called a Lakshmiputra. Furthermore, one should have love for all in the heart. A person who is pure in nature and pure in conduct, has Goddess Lakshmi herself visiting his home.”
Who gets the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi
He adds, “It is said in the scriptures that those who chant God’s name, do kirtan and have pure conduct awaken divinity within them. Stay away from dirty thoughts, impure scenes and negative associations, as these elements weaken our enthusiasm and drive away Goddess Lakshmi.” So, if you want Goddess Lakshmi to reside permanently in your home, maintain enthusiasm, make your deeds your religion, have love and gratitude towards others, and follow truth and purity in your life. Then, Goddess Lakshmi herself will appear at your doorstep.
