Travis Scott’s Delhi concert fizzles out: Empty seats and dead crowd shock fans

New Delhi: US rapper Travis Scott made his India debut on October 18 with his CIRCUS MAXIMUS show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The concert was said to be sold out, but videos shared by fans tell a different story.

Many showed empty seats, a quiet crowd, and a long waiting time of about four hours. Some fans described the concert as “dead” and said the atmosphere was dull.

One fan shared a video of herself enjoying the music, but said no one was dancing around her. She wrote, “Main akele vibe karke kkitna bacha paugi travis? Sach toh ye hai ki crowd aur concert dono dead the,” which means, “How much can I save you, dancing on my own? The truth is that the crowd and the concert were both dead.” She added that it seemed Travis Scott would not come back on the 19th.

Other fans expressed sympathy for Travis and questioned why people just stood around without energy. One commented, “Travis bhai ke liye bura lagrha,” meaning they felt bad for him. Another fan complained about the long wait: “Girl, I’ll be honest, they kept us waiting too for like 4 hrs and we had no water in the silver, it was good the most dead crowd was in the seating area.”

A comment on a video showing empty seats said, “Trust me… he’s not coming back ever again… dead crowd, half empty arena, people just know 2-3 songs… 90% of the crowd is uni kids trying to fit in pop culture and they’re there to just make snaps and reels.” Another person suggested the organisers should have picked a better date and prevented ticket scalping.

However, the standing Gold and Silver areas seemed livelier. Fans shared videos of people dancing, making mosh pits, and enjoying the music—especially to the song “FE!N.” One person wrote, “Silver standing was full rage, idk what shi you been upto.”

For the concert, over 3,400 personnel were deployed to manage security and operations, including 1,600 private security staff and between 1,200 and 1,800 Delhi Police officers. Travis Scott is also scheduled to perform in Mumbai on November 19.
