Jobs Scam Unearthed in Assam: A shocking recruitment scam has come to light in Assam, which has raised serious questions on the employment opportunities of genuine Assamese youth. In this scam, many candidates from outside Assam got jobs in central government departments with the help of fake documents. According to reports, these people used fake documents to claim themselves as permanent residents of Assam. These fake documents include Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), caste certificate and income certificate.
Got government job from fake PRC?
This scam recently came to light in Jorhat. After this, Navsholia village is attracting everyone’s attention because it is alleged that fake resident certificates were made for candidates from other states at this address. Investigation has revealed that many people have got central government jobs from Assam quota on the basis of these fake documents.
How did such a big truth come out?
- This entire fraud was exposed due to the efforts of Jorhat Additional Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Bora. This revelation has shocked the officials and common people.
- Sources say that fake PRC as well as fake caste and income certificates from Navsholiya village were used to get jobs in organizations like CRPF, Assam Rifles and CISF. All the people under investigation allegedly used fake addresses linked to Navasholiya village.
- Further investigation also revealed that the caste and income certificates submitted by these candidates were actually issued in the names of other people from Assam. The fraud was discovered after examining the certificate numbers and records related to it.
This scam is not limited to Jorhat only
- Officials suspect that this scam is not limited to Jorhat alone. There is growing concern that similar fraud may have taken place in other parts of Assam, with candidates from outside states snatching away jobs from qualified youth of Assam.
- The biggest question arising in the investigation is who helped in making and using these fake documents. There is also suspicion of involvement of some influential person or organized gang behind this racket.
- Investigators are also probing whether Navsholiya village was chosen because it was close to places where central government security forces personnel work and often live in rented houses. It is suspected that fraudsters might have taken advantage of this connection while creating fake documents.
- There is a wave of concern throughout Assam after this alleged scam came to light. Many people have demanded a complete investigation into this matter and strict action against the culprits. He says that such fraud not only undermines the honesty of the recruitment process, but also snatches away the rightful jobs from the capable youth of Assam.
- Jorhat Additional Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Bora told ANI, “Actually, we had received requests for verification of PRC and other certificates of some newly recruited soldiers from some CRPF units, the Director General Office of Assam Rifles in Shillong and a CISF unit in NTPC Dadri. As per the documents submitted, these people had declared themselves as residents of Jorhat district. When we verified these documents, Then we found that they were fake.”
- He further said, “On checking the certificate numbers, we found that those numbers were actually of the original income certificates issued to other people. Some from Jorhat district and some from other districts of Assam. But the certificates presented to the recruitment officials were completely different from those original documents.”
- Giving details of the case, Bora said, “Further investigation revealed that no application related to the documents submitted by these people was ever received under those certificate numbers. Based on this evidence, we came to the conclusion that these certificates were completely fake and fabricated. As of now, we have proved that these people are not from the places mentioned in their police station reports. Therefore, the documents submitted by them are clearly fake. Are.”
- He further said, “It is difficult to say with certainty where these people actually belong to. But some supporting documents received from the recruitment authorities show that these people claimed to be residents of Assam, but had given their high school (secondary) and other preliminary examinations in Uttar Pradesh. They may have been from Uttar Pradesh or some other state. One thing that is common in all the fake documents is the repeated mention of Navsholia village.”
