Remedies for Mithun Sankranti
Take a bath in the holy river: Take bath in the holy river on this day. If river bath is not possible then take bath at home by mixing Ganga water in the bath water. By doing this one gets a lot of virtue.
Offer Arghya to Sun God: On the day of Mithun Sankranti, take water in a copper pot, mix red flowers, Akshat, Roli and a little jaggery in it and offer Arghya to the Sun God. It is believed that by doing this the Sun becomes stronger in the horoscope and auspicious results are obtained from the planet.
Recite Aditya Hridaya Stotra: On this day, recite Aditya Hridaya Stotra in the morning. Doing this opens the way for career advancement.
Donate: Donate copper utensils, jaggery, clothes, wheat and umbrella on this day. Doing this increases happiness and prosperity in the house.
Offer water to Shivalinga: This year Somvati Amavasya will also be celebrated on Mithun Sankranti. In such a situation, on this day, offer water mixed with black sesame seeds to Shivling. By doing this one gets freedom from planetary defects.
Donate Malpua: Donate 33 Malpuas on the auspicious occasion of Mithun Sankranti and Somvati Amavasya. By doing this one gets immense blessings of Lord Vishnu.
