This whole matter came to light after a post made by a user named Ankit Kedia on X (earlier Twitter). Ankit told that he had gone to one of his relative’s house, where all this happened. His relative’s son had got a job in a big MNC with a package of Rs 15 lakh. But instead of being happy with his son’s success, his father was pressurizing him to prepare for a government job.

The father believes that only a government job is a ‘real’ job. In fact, he had recently heard the news of layoffs in big companies like Adobe and Microsoft, after which he became afraid that there is no job security in the private sector. They believe that no matter what the salary in a private job, it is always temporary and insecure.

This post of Ankit went viral as soon as it appeared on social media and people started getting mixed reactions on it. Some people say that the father’s concern is justified, because in today’s uncertain times, the security that a government job provides cannot be found anywhere else.

On the other hand, many people criticized this attitude of the father. He says that it is wrong to impose one’s opinion on the son without respecting his choice. This kind of pressure can be harmful for the future of children.
