Hema Malini’s real surname is Chakraborty. His father V.R. S. Chakraborty was a regional director in the Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and his job was transferable, due to which he had to move from one place to another. Hema’s mother’s name was Jaya Chakraborty and she belonged to a traditional Iyengar family.
