Gujarat Government released ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’. The plan presents a vision of a prosperous and developed Gujarat with AI education, 75 lakh jobs, green energy, digital health networks, and strong infrastructure.
Gandhinagar. The state of Gujarat will complete historic 75 years of its establishment in the year 2035. To make this occasion special, the Gujarat government has released ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’, a document that sets the direction for development in the coming decade.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel unveiled this document at the Mahatma Temple in Gandhinagar. He said that this document, while celebrating Gujarat’s achievements so far, also outlines the state’s new heights in the times to come. This is in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India@2047’ vision.
The Chief Minister said that this agenda is focused on achieving the goal of ‘Earning Well, Living Well’ i.e. better earning and better life for every citizen of Gujarat in the next decade.
The goal of ‘Prosperous State, Empowered Citizens’
The ‘Agenda for 2035’ document details the goals of Gujarat’s 75th year and strategies to achieve them. It aims to accelerate key sectors like health, education, skill development, entrepreneurship, infrastructure creation and environmental sustainability in the state.
The focus of the state government is on balanced and inclusive development to ensure equal opportunities and development in every district. This agenda clearly reflects Gujarat’s commitment to ‘Prosperous State, Empowered Citizens’.
Education and skill development: AI based education in 7500 schools
The Gujarat government has announced a special focus on education and skill development to empower the youth. By the year 2035, modern and future-oriented education will be provided to every child of the state. Artificial Intelligence (AI) based education will start in 7500 schools. 75 Advanced Skill Institutes will be established. A target has been set to create 75 lakh new jobs through these initiatives.
Quality health facilities and digital health network
The objective of the state government is to provide quality health care to every citizen. For this-
- The number of medical colleges will be increased.
- A comprehensive digital health network will be established.
- Health insurance coverage will be ensured to every family.
With these efforts, the health system of Gujarat will become stronger.
Roadmap to clean energy and green future
Gujarat has given priority to clean energy and green development.
- In the next 10 years, 750 places in the state will be developed as urban lungs i.e. green areas.
- 7500 Miyawaki forests will be created.
- The target is to recycle 75% of municipal waste water.
- 75 iconic buildings will be constructed.
- Every citizen will be made more capable through digital governance and e-services.
Agriculture and Rural Development: Prosperous Farmers, Prosperous Villages
To increase the income of farmers in the state, crop quality improvement, value addition and agro-processing will be promoted. This will give impetus to rural prosperity and employment opportunities will also increase in villages.
Gujarat leading in green energy and net zero target
Gujarat aims to become the leading green energy state of the country. Hydrogen plants, 75 gigawatt wind power capacity, and 7500 electric buses will be introduced in the state in the next decade. Emphasis will also be laid on extensive use of solar energy. These initiatives will not only protect the environment but also create thousands of new jobs.
Gujarat will become the center of innovation and startups
By the year 2035, Gujarat will be established as the new center of innovation and entrepreneurship. The state will become the Innovation Powerhouse of India by promoting startups and entrepreneurs, which will encourage new technologies and ideas.
Strong infrastructure: the backbone of development
The Gujarat government aims to strengthen the state’s infrastructure with an investment of Rs 7.5 lakh crore. This investment will be made in sectors like roads, irrigation, ports, transport, water and energy supply, which will further strengthen the economic base of the state.

- Infrastructure
- Innovation
- Individuals (Individual Empowerment)
- Institutions
This model provides clear guidance for policy formulation and its effective implementation for the coming decade.
Gujarat@75: New chapter of development
The ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’ document has been prepared by Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT). Departments like Gujarat Social Infrastructure Development Society (GSIDS), Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB), Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub (i-Hub), Higher Education Department and Planning and Administrative Reforms Training Division (ARTD) have contributed in this.
This document is a milestone towards making Gujarat a developed state by 2047 and will give new impetus to development and innovation in India.
