Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM has released the list of 4 out of 6 candidates for Bihar Elections 2025. His wife Snehlata will contest from Sasaram. This announcement has come after meeting Amit Shah, which is a sign of ending tension in NDA.
Patna: Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) national president and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha has released the first list of its candidates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. In this list released late in the evening, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLMO) has announced the names of candidates on four out of the six scheduled seats. The biggest name in this list is that of Upendra Kushwaha’s wife. In the press release issued by State General Secretary Subhash Chandravanshi on behalf of RLMO, it was informed that these seats were determined after detailed discussion among the member parties of Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance.
Wife Snehlata from Sasaram in the field
The most important news of this list has come from Sasaram assembly seat of Rohtas district. Snehlata, wife of Upendra Kushwaha himself, has been made a candidate from this seat. By fielding his wife, Upendra Kushwaha has not only put his personal credibility at stake on the Sasaram seat, but has also made it clear that he is taking this election very seriously.
Candidates on other important seats
Apart from Sasaram, RLMO has also announced the names of candidates on three other seats. Madhubani: Madhav Anand has been given ticket from Madhubani seat. Prashant Kumar Pankaj has been fielded from Ujiarpur seat of Samastipur district. Alok Kumar Singh has been made the candidate from Dinara seat of Rohtas district. Whereas two seats of RLMO quota, Bajpatti of Sitamarhi and Paru of Muzaffarpur have been kept vacant at present. The names of the candidates on these seats will be announced later, behind which there could be a possible seat agreement or a strategy to settle political equations.
Everything was finalized after meeting Amit Shah
This list has come at a time when Upendra Kushwaha’s name was at the center of political speculation recently. Recently he had given the statement that ‘Nothing is well in NDA’, due to which the news of rift within the alliance had intensified. Amidst this tense environment, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called him to Delhi. After this meeting, Kushwaha suddenly postponed his emergency meeting called at the party office in Patna.
Political analysts believe that after meeting Amit Shah, Kushwaha changed his stand and a final consensus was reached on seats within the alliance. The release of this list, especially giving ticket to his wife from Sasaram, is an indication that the tension within the alliance has now ended and the RLMO chief has now started election preparations with full force.
