Distance of 12.9 km will be covered in 36 minutes

This new ropeway will be a total of 12.9 kilometers long from Sonprayag to Kedarnath. As of now, it takes around 8 to 9 hours to complete this journey, which involves challenges like climbing on foot and weather. But after the construction of this ropeway, this distance can be covered in only 36 minutes. This is a matter of great relief especially for the elderly, women and children.

1800 passengers will be able to travel every hour

Modern technology is being used in this project. The Gondola (cabin) with a capacity of 35 people at a time will be able to travel 1800 passengers in one direction every hour. This will be India’s first 3S tri-cable ropeway, which will be counted among the world’s safest and advanced ropeway technologies.

Adani Group’s big investment and promise
