The first meeting of the Sukhu government cabinet was held on Thursday evening after the settlement of cross-voting dispute and internal disputes in Himachal Pradesh Rajya Sabha elections. Many major decisions were taken in the state cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and with a united cabinet, CM Sukhu tried to show that all is well in the government.
10th and 12th topper students will be given Rs 25,000 cash to buy a laptop of their choice. Whereas before this, children used to get laptops only through the government. Children were not able to buy a laptop of their choice.
Constitution of the 7th State Finance Commission
It was decided to constitute the 7th State Finance Commission in order to review the financial position of Gram Panchayats and Municipal Bodies and to provide recommendations in this regard to the State Government. In the meeting, it was decided to bring 1.5 lakh workers, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers registered under Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The Cabinet decided to include more items under Himachal Pradesh Industrial Investment Policy-2019 so as to attract more investment in various service sectors like Information Technology, AYUSH, Health, Tourism and Education etc.
You will get 25 thousand rupees for laptop
The Cabinet gave its approval to adopt direct benefit transfer method up to an amount of Rs 25 thousand to meritorious students under Srinivas Ramanujan Digital Device Scheme. Approval was also given to the appointment of 140 Ayurvedic Medical Officers to provide better health facilities to the people of the state.
Schools will be upgraded
The Cabinet decided to upgrade 50 bed capacity Civil Hospital Sunni in Shimla district to 100 bed capacity Civil Hospital. It was also decided to open a new development block at Surani in Jwalamukhi assembly constituency of Kangra district. The Cabinet decided to upgrade Government Primary School, Baghi in Kotkhai area of Shimla district to Government Central Primary School.
