The Telugu film industry’s response to Ramayana has been encouraging. SS Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Allu Arjun have expressed their appreciation.
This makes the silence from Bollywood’s biggest stars noticeable. In the past, Telugu cinema has delivered several nationwide blockbusters, including Baahubali 2, RRR, Pushpa, and Kalki 2898 AD. However, several big stars stayed away from praising these films.
But the same stars have done the same with films like Ramayana. Not one major star has spoken or tweeted about the Ranbir starrer.
True pan-Indian cinema should be a celebration of every industry, but when their own Hindi stars back out of praising such a film, there is a lot of doubt about why this is happening.
