Till now you must have known about white and black rice but today I am going to tell you about red rice. First of all let’s talk about how and where the rice is mixed. Friends, paddy seeds are called rice. It is obtained by removing the upper husk from paddy. Rice is a major grain consumed throughout the Eastern world. Many dishes including rice and khichdi are prepared in India. Rice is more prevalent in South India and East-South India than in North India.
It is called ‘Tandul’ in Sanskrit and ‘Arisi’ in Tamil. It is sometimes also called ‘shadras’, because it contains all the six main tastes. In cultural Hindi, cooked rice is called Bhaat, but most Hindi speakers rarely use the word ‘Bhaat’. Red rice not only contains fiber but nutrients like vitamins, calcium, iron, thiamine and minerals are also found in abundance in it. This is the reason due to which if a person eats red rice just three times a month, his strength will remain intact for 70 years.
Red rice bran contains high amounts of fiber, B vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids which are lost during the processing process. In the processing and milling process, 67 percent of vitamins niacin, 80 percent of thiamine and up to 90 percent of pyridoxine are destroyed. Red rice cures anemia caused by iron and zinc deficiency. Protein-rich red rice crop is found more in Kangra and surrounding areas in Himachal. Iron, zinc and antioxidants are found in large quantities in red rice. It is very useful for pregnant women. Red rice contains more iron, zinc and manganese than common rice.
This goodness was the basis of its research. Scientists of Agricultural University, after doing research on it, had patented the Chhohartu variety of Shimla in the All India Rice Conference held in Assam in April. Due to the nutrients found in red rice, it is used in the treatment of obesity, diabetes, cancer and stomach related diseases. Apart from all this, red rice is considered very powerful. If it is consumed even for 3 days in a month, your muscles will become so strong that your strength will not decrease till the age of 70. Red rice improves blood and strengthens bones.
