This match is at a very exciting point. Actually, Pakistan had scored 378 runs in its first innings. After this, South Africa was bundled out for 269 runs. But Pakistan faltered in its second innings and could not even reach 170 runs. Due to which now the South African team has returned to the competition.
This bowler wreaked havoc on Pakistan
Very poor batting was seen from Pakistan in the second innings of the match. No batsman could touch the 50-run mark in this innings, the reason for which was left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy. Senuran Muthusamy wreaked havoc on Pakistan in this match. After becoming the most successful team in the first innings, he became even more lethal in the second innings. Due to the magical bowling of Muthusamy, Pakistan team was all out after scoring only 167 runs in this innings.
Senuran Muthusamy bowled 17 overs in this innings and took 5 wickets while spending 57 runs. During this period, he made Abdullah Shafiq, Saud Shakeel, Salman Aga, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Noman Ali his victims. Let us tell you, Senuran Muthusamy also took 6 wickets in the first innings. That means Senuran Muthusamy managed to take a total of 11 wickets in this match. At the same time, for the first time in his Test career, he achieved the feat of taking 10 or more wickets in a Test.
Got my name registered in the report book
Senuran Muthusamy has become only the fourth spinner in the history of South African cricket to take 10 wickets in a match. Earlier in the year 2018, Keshav Maharaj had done this. At the same time, Hugh Tayfield and Paul Adams have done this for South Africa. Hugh Tayfield had taken 10 wicket hauls in test matches twice in his career.
