Indian music sensation Guru Randhawa is set to make history at the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Mumbai, performing on the main stage alongside global DJ icon Steve Aoki.
This landmark event on November 7 marks Randhawa’s debut at an international festival and positions him as the first India-born artist to grace the EDC mainstage.
The highly anticipated performance will feature the world premiere of the official remix of Randhawa’s hit song ‘Sirra,’ masterfully re-envisioned by Aoki. This collaboration seamlessly blends Punjabi pop with electronic dance music, showcasing a powerful fusion of cultural sounds. The original ‘Sirra’ has already garnered immense popularity, boasting over 356 million cumulative streams and 550 million YouTube views, reflecting its widespread appeal.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Randhawa stated, “Representing India and our sound on the EDC mainstage is a massive honour. Steve Aoki and I have built something special with the ‘Sirra’ remix that completely fuses two very distinct worlds.” Aoki echoed this sentiment, highlighting electronic music’s role in bridging cultures. This performance also sets the stage for Randhawa’s ‘Sirra Era Live in Concert’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on December 12, marking his return to live touring after three years and celebrating 13 years in the music industry. The ‘Sirra’ remix, facilitated by Warner Music India, is now available on major streaming platforms.
