Old problems have been resolved in the meeting of the Central Board of Trustees (CBT) chaired by Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Earlier there were 13 different rules for withdrawing PF, which have now been reduced to just 3. These include essential needs (illness, education, marriage), housing needs (for purchasing a house or repaying a loan), special circumstances (unemployment, disaster, epidemic, etc.). The biggest relief is that now members can withdraw the entire amount from their PF account.
