In Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, students from across the country are showcasing the power of their creativity and innovation. On October 13, students presented solutions to real-world problems based on the theme given in the competition. Know what is the next step of the competition?
Student Innovation Competition India 2025: The event of Vikas Bharat Buildathon started at 10 am on October 13 and lasted for two hours. The event was live-streamed across the country, with teams of students from classes 6 to 12 taking part. Each team had three to five students and had to present a solution to a real-world problem, choosing from one of four different themes. On this occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided over the program and told the students how the problems faced in everyday life can be seen from the eyes of an ‘inventor’. He gave examples to the students to explain that even small things that bring happiness, worry or attention can become sources of new ideas. Some problems were shared as examples. Solving the challenges of farmers through technology (Self-reliant India theme), Problems faced by glass workers during school visits (Swadeshi theme), Communication needs of artisans (Vocal for Local theme).

Next phase of Vikas Bharat Buildathon between 14th to 31st October
In the next phase of the program, each team will have to submit a 2 to 5 minute video between October 14 and 31. In this they will have to show their chosen problem, solution or prototype, how it works and its possible impact. The objective of this Buildathon is not just to give awards, but to give students the experience of hands-on learning and innovating together.
How will the winners of Vikas Bharat Buildathon be selected?
The winning teams will be selected by a panel of experts. Next year in January 2026, the winning students and schools will be provided with prizes, mentorship and resources to further their innovations. Students, teachers and schools from across the country will showcase their creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills on national and international platforms through this Buildathon.
