After the success of Good Bad Ugly, Ajith Kumar reportedly waited nearly two years for his next project, hoping a producer would be willing to meet his much-discussed remuneration demand of Rs 175 crore.
However, given the challenging financial situation in the film industry and reports of losses suffered by the producers of Good Bad Ugly, no one came forward with an offer matching his expectations.
Now, Ajith has chosen a different path by launching his own production venture. His upcoming film, titled Dare Devil, will be directed by Adhik Ravichandran, reuniting the duo after their previous collaboration.
The film marks a significant milestone as Shalini Ajith Kumar makes her debut as a producer under the banner of Brave Hearts Productions.
The cast rincludes Sreeleela, Unni Mukundan, Parthiban, Prabhu, Sunil and Redin Kingsley, while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
This is certainly a bold and interesting move by Ajith. If Dare Devil succeeds at the box office and generates substantial profits, other producers may regain confidence and approach him with attractive offers.
On the other hand, if the film fails to deliver the expected returns, Ajith himself may reconsider his remuneration and explore more sustainable ways of working, including producing another film independently.
Either way, this venture could prove to be an important turning point in his career.
