Shahid Kapoor Advocates Early Marriage, Says It Helps Parents Actively Engage with Kids

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor recently shared his perspective on why he believes individuals, particularly men, should consider marrying early.

Appearing on Kapil Sharma’s show alongside Ishaan Khatter and Mira Rajput, Kapoor emphasized the benefits of becoming a parent at a younger age, highlighting the ability to actively participate in children’s formative years.

Kapoor, who married Mira Rajput in 2015 when he was 34 and she was 20, explained that early marriage helps men distinguish between professional commitments and personal life. “Until you get married, especially for men, your work is your life. But once you get married, you understand this is work and this is life,” he stated.

He further elaborated on the physical aspect of parenthood. With his son Zain being eight years old and enjoying cricket and football, and daughter Misha liking to climb, Kapoor expressed a desire to keep up with their activities. “When you are young, you can do all the things they want to see you doing. But after a certain time, those things become a little difficult. After a certain age, some of those things become difficult,” he added, underscoring the importance of youthful energy for active parenting. This sentiment resonates with many parents who wish to be physically present and engaged in their children’s growth.
