Standup comedian Ravi Gupta had arrived as a guest in ‘Bigg Boss 19’. On stage, he asked Salman about his films which he regretted doing. Salman took the name of ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Nishchay’, which were released in 1992. When Ravi Gupta asked if any of the recent films also fell into this category, Salman said, “There are none of the new ones. People say Sikandar… but I don’t agree. It had a very good plot.” After this Salman contacted ‘Sikander’ director A.R. Responding to Murugadoss’ comment, he said, “But what, I used to reach the set at 9 o’clock in the night, so something went wrong. My ribs were broken… due to which our director sahib said this. But his picture (Madrasi) has just been released, in which the actor used to reach at 6 o’clock.”

Salman further emphasized that the film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director A.R. Both Murugadoss tried to avoid criticism of the film. He says, “So first of all this picture is of Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala. After that Sajid first went to Culti… Murugadoss withdrew… from there he did a picture in the South. He has directed the picture after doing ‘Madrasi’, which was released. It is a very big film and equally big… a bigger blockbuster than Sikandar.” It is noteworthy that Sivakarthikeyan and Rukmani Vasanth starrer ‘Madrasi’ has proved to be a disaster at the box office.

We had to shoot at night, because he used to come on the set at 8 pm. We are used to shooting from early morning, but it does not happen there (Bollywood).” The director also threw light on the fact that Salman’s lateness had an impact on other actors as well. He says, “If there were four children in a scene, we had to shoot with them at 2 in the night. Even if it was a shoot while returning from school, they would get tired by that time and would usually fall asleep.”
