Many times leave is not available even if there is urgent work, but on making an excuse of death of grandmother, uncle or any other relative, leave is granted immediately. The person further said that if you ask for leave from the office by telling the truth, you do not get leave, but if you tell a lie, you get it immediately.
Is it a sin to take leave by lying?

He said that there is no problem in lying for spiritual purposes, but one should avoid lying for worldly purposes. Even though we have to fight with difficulties, we should still try to follow the path of truth. Lies should be avoided.
