IRCTC Scam: The troubles of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Bihar Assembly opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav have increased. While giving the verdict, Delhi Court has framed charges in IRCTC scam and Land for Job case.
Rouse Avenue Court: The hearing in the IRCTC scam case against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Bihar Assembly Leader of Opposition Rabri Devi was completed in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. The court has also given its verdict in the IRCTC scam and Land for Job case and charges have also been framed against the Lalu family. This decision of the court has come at a time when there are assembly elections in Bihar. Now the problems of Lalu family are going to increase.
These 14 people were made accused in IRCTC scam
Let us tell you that Rouse Avenue Court has framed charges against Lalu under sections 13(2) and 13 (1)(d) of IPC 420, IPC 120B Prevention of Corruption Act. In which charges have been framed against 14 accused including three members of Lalu Yadav. Apart from Lalu family, former Group General Manager of IRCTC VK Asthana, RK Goyal, Sujata Hotels directors Vijay Kochhar and Vinay Kochhar are also involved in this case. This decision regarding corruption has been given by Judge Vishal Gogane in the presence of everyone.

What is IRCTC scam?
Actually, this IRCTC scam is from the year 2004 to 2009, during which Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Union Railway Minister. Lalu had given jobs to the people of Bihar for Group D posts in Mumbai, Jabalpur, Calcutta, Jaipur, Hajipur. In return, people had given their land to the family members of Lalu Prasad. Apart from this, CBI alleges that meanwhile, the contract for maintenance of two hotels of IRCTC (Ranchi and Puri) was wrongly given to a private firm named Sujata Hotels. In which corruption was also done.
What did Lalu Yadav say on the court’s decision?
The court while deciding said that this is a case of corruption. The court first asked Lalu to stand in the court and told him the charges against him and also asked whether he accepted the charges. Plead guilty? Or will he face trial? Answering all the things, Lalu Prasad Yadav said – All the allegations against him are wrong.
