BCCI announced Under-19 team for Sri Lanka tour
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s junior selection committee, headed by Sharath Sridharan, on Thursday announced the Under-19 ODI and multi-day squads for the tour of Sri Lanka. The tour will start from 4th July 2026 in Hambantota, Sri Lanka. During the tour, three ODI and two multi-day matches will be played between the two teams. Anvay Dravid has been included in the 15-member ODI team.
Anvay will play the role of wicketkeeper in Team India U-19
Anvay Dravid has been included among the two wicketkeepers of the team. Rajat Baghel has got the place as the second wicketkeeper. The captaincy of this team has been handed over to Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh, while Lakshya Raichandani has been made the vice-captain.
The biggest opportunity of Anvay Dravid’s career
Selection in the Indian Under-19 team is considered to be the biggest milestone in Anvay Dravid’s cricket career so far. Interestingly, his elder brother Samit Dravid has represented the Karnataka Under-19 team, but Anvay has become the first member of the Dravid family to make it to the Indian Under-19 team at the national level.

Anvay Dravid recently performed brilliantly in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, after which he came in the sight of the selectors. He captained the Karnataka Under-19 team and took the team to the quarter-finals. In the entire tournament he scored 220 runs in six innings. His most memorable inning was against Himachal Pradesh, where he scored an unbeaten 82 runs in a pressure-packed run chase to lead his team to victory.
