PM Modi Meets Qualcomm CEO Cristiano R Amon: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Cristiano R Amon, President and CEO of America’s leading semiconductor company Qualcomm. Both discussed the developments taking place in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductor and innovation in India. In this meeting, there was also discussion about Qualcomm’s semiconductor mission in India and cooperation in AI projects. This meeting took place at PM Modi’s residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. Both the leaders have also shared its photos on social media platform X.

Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano R Amon shared a photo of his meeting with Modi on Instagram. He wrote, “Thank you, Prime Minister Modi, for the great conversation on fostering a comprehensive partnership between Qualcomm and India in support of India AI and the India Semiconductor Mission. We are inspired by the opportunities to grow the Indian ecosystem in the 6G technology transition as well as AI smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, automobiles, industrial sectors and more.”

Qualcomm has planned to expand its business in India. The company is working with Indian firms to bring the prices of smart glasses at par with traditional glasses. Qualcomm India President Savi Soin said that they are working towards bringing audio smart glasses at an affordable price, which will be equipped with better technology at a slightly higher price than normal glasses.

Qualcomm has expressed desire for larger partnerships to support India’s AI and semiconductor missions. CEO Amon said he is excited about the transition to 6G technology as well as the opportunities to grow the Indian ecosystem in AI-based smartphones, PCs, smart glasses, automotive and industrial sectors.
