Will employees get interest free loan of Rs 10 lakh to buy a car? 3 more big demands from Pay Commission! – News Himachali News Himachali

A big good news is coming for the employees. If the recommendations of the staff side of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery are accepted, then government employees can get huge advance amount from the government for festivals, purchase of vehicles and during times of crisis.

Actually, the staff side has submitted a memorandum to the 8th Central Pay Commission. In this, along with increasing the limits of old schemes like House Building Advance and Computer Advance, it has been strongly advocated for introducing three new types of advances for the convenience of the employees.

Let us know what demands have been made by the employees and what arguments have been given behind them:

1. Advance of Rs 10 lakh to buy a car

The staff side has demanded that a maximum advance of Rs 10 lakh should be given to the employees to buy a car. The biggest thing is that it is recommended to keep this loan completely interest free.

The employees behind this say that in today’s era, a car is no longer a luxury. It has become a basic need of everyone to travel safely with family. Therefore, the 8th Pay Commission should consider this seriously.

2. Advances to deal with disaster

Sometimes there are heavy rains, sometimes floods, sometimes cyclones and drought like situations in different parts of the country. To help the employees in such a crisis, the staff side has demanded an advance equal to one month’s basic salary, which the employees can return in 24 installments. Giving the reasoning behind this, it has been said in the memorandum that earlier central employees used to get this facility, but later it was stopped. In view of the changing climate and natural disasters, it is very important to restart this ‘interest free’ advance.

3. One month basic salary for festivals

India is a country of festivals, where people of every religion and community celebrate festivals with full enthusiasm. Considering the expenses incurred on these festivals, the staff side has demanded that the employees should be given festival advance equal to one month’s basic salary. Employees can repay this amount in 10 easy installments. In the meeting of the Standing Committee of JCM, the official side had agreed to restart this advance, but it has not been implemented at the ground level yet. Therefore, now a demand has been made to restore it through the 8th Pay Commission.

When can the decision come?

At present, the 8th Pay Commission is taking suggestions and memorandums from different parties and organizations. It is expected that the Commission will study all these demands closely and submit its final recommendations to the government within 18 months of its formation. If the government gives green signal to these demands, it will be a big relief for the central employees.
