Can a swimming pool become a ‘money printing machine’? This question is prevalent on the internet. The reason is a post by a content creator, in which he has given details of his friend’s business in Meerut. People on social media are divided over the claim that the pool is earning around Rs 22.5 lakh every month in summer. Content producer Pooja told in a popular post on X that she talked to a friend who has a farm near NH-58 in Meerut. The friend has built a swimming pool on his land, which has now become a very successful seasonal business.

According to Pooja, she had casually asked her friend whether this swimming pool is just a side project or it also brings some real income. The friend gave a vague answer at first, but as the conversation progressed and the earning figures came to light, Pooja realized that this business could be more profitable than it appeared.

The post claims that 700 to 800 people visit this swimming pool every day during summer holidays. If an average of 750 people is considered and an entry fee of Rs 100 is taken from each person, then the one day earning is around Rs 75,000. According to this, the monthly earning of 30 days in the peak season comes to around Rs 22.5 lakh.

Pooja said that this business remains profitable even when the summer crowd subsides. He calculated that even on normal days, about 250 people come to the pool every day. Even at the current entry fee, the pool earns around Rs 25,000 per day, which is around Rs 7.5 lakh a month.

Talking about expenses, Pooja told that her friend owns the land, hence there is no expense for rent. He said that only two security guards work at the site, whose total monthly salary is only Rs 20,000.

How did social media react?

Praising the idea, one user wrote, “The smartest businesses are those that make money from the same thing in multiple ways. A swimming pool that is earning from visitors and then from irrigation water is a great use of resources.”

Another user said that earnings figures alone do not show the complete picture. He commented, “Every business looks simple from outside. The real picture becomes clear when you add the expenses along with the income.”

Some users focused more on lifestyle than earnings. One person wrote, “Swimming pools don’t have to make money to be beneficial. Sometimes the best returns are serene mornings and laughter splashing in the water.”
