New Delhi: Sameer Wankhede, who has approached the Delhi High Court against the makers of The Bads of Bollywood, including Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix, has spoken about the challenges he faced in the aftermath of the Aryan Khan case.
Wankhede revealed that he and his family received threats following the high-profile investigation, which left a lasting emotional impact. Reflecting on his experiences, he said that young people caught in drug use should be sent to rehabilitation rather than being criminalised, emphasising the need for a compassionate approach to addiction.
He also discussed the rise of “new-age narcos” in India and mentioned that he has received an offer for a biopic based on his life. Speaking fondly of his wife, actor Kranti Redkar—whom he affectionately calls “Durga”—Wankhede said her strength kept him grounded during turbulent times.
Addressing critics who believe that only candidates from humble backgrounds can become IAS or IRS officers, Wankhede questioned such stereotypes, asserting that integrity and service, not background, define a true officer.
