Actor-director Ravi Mohan has released the first look of Vishnu Sasi Shankar’s upcoming spiritual action film, ‘Manikanda’, starring Vaibhav.
Formerly titled ‘Thatthvamasi’, the film is produced by Tantra Films with renowned filmmaker Venkat Prabhu serving as creative producer.
‘Manikanda’ aims to blend spirituality, devotion, and action, offering a distinct cinematic experience rooted in faith. The first-look poster features Vaibhav in a commanding pose, dressed in blue and holding a spear, with a magnificent Lord Ayyappa statue behind him, surrounded by golden light and flames. The cosmic background and grand visual composition highlight the film’s spiritual essence.
The tagline, “The Journey of the God and His People,” hints at a story centered on the spiritual pilgrimage of Ayyappa devotees. The film will explore their challenging journey, strict vows, and devotion, incorporating action sequences and emotional moments to appeal to a wide audience. Following the success of films like ‘Kantara’ and ‘Hanu-Man’, ‘Manikanda’ is expected to garner significant interest.
Directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar, known for the Malayalam film ‘Malikappuram’, the movie also stars Meenakshi Govindarajan, Aravind Akash, Aadukalam Naren, Hareesh Peradi, and Arjai. Premgi Amaren scores the music, Yuvan Selva is the cinematographer, and National Award winner Praveen K.L. handles editing. The film is currently in post-production and is slated for release during the auspicious Tamil month of Karthigai in 2026, a period deeply connected with Lord Ayyappa.
