The attack took place at Ratta Kulachi Police Training Center in Dera Ismail Khan district. The terrorists rammed a truck filled with explosives into the main gate of the training centre. After this, the terrorists entered the centre. This led to an encounter between police and terrorists last night. Initially three terrorists were killed. Police later said that three more terrorists were killed.
Initially it was reported that only one policeman had died, but by morning this figure changed. It became clear that most of those killed were policemen. 13 policemen were also injured in the attack. SSG commandos, Al-Bark Force, Elite Force and police officers confronted the terrorists. At that time more than 200 people were present in the training center.
