Healthy Sweets at Home: Make healthy sweets at home on Diwali. Learn how to make bottle gourd sweets and peanut barfi in easy steps, with pure homemade taste without any adulteration.
Unless there is something sweet during Diwali, the festival seems incomplete. If you bring sweets from outside the house, there is a risk of them being adulterated. In such a situation, to keep your family and guests safe, you can make sweets at home with healthy ingredients. While homemade sweets are easy to make, they also do not cause any harm. Let us know how delicious sweets can be prepared with the help of bottle gourd, peanuts etc.

Material
- 2 liter milk (full fat)
- 2 kg gourd
- 500 grams sugar
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp desi ghee
- a pinch of green food color
- a handful of chopped cashews
- Handful of almonds (chopped)
- handful of chopped pistachios
- To make bottle gourd sweets, first grate the bottle gourd. Now drain the water from the gourd.
- Pour 21 liters of full cream milk in a pan and cook it for a while. After this add grated bottle gourd. The bottle gourd will cook slowly and the milk will also reduce.
- Add sugar in it. Continue cooking the sugar and milk until the milk dries completely. Now you can add dry fruits of your choice like chopped almonds, cashew nuts etc. to it.
- Also add some cardamom powder to enhance the taste. When the milk dries completely, take out the bottle gourd sweets in a plate and cut them with the help of a knife.

Tasty peanut barfi
- 1 cup raw peanuts
- 1 cup jaggery
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp milk
- To make peanut barfi, you will need cashew nuts. Roast one cup raw peanuts in a pan. Once the peanuts are roasted, peel them and cool them. Now grind half cup cashew nuts and peanuts coarsely in a mixer.
- Now you have to make syrup by mixing water and jaggery. When the jaggery cooks till it thickens a bit and the syrup becomes a string, then add the mixture of peanuts and cashews.
- Mix milk and ghee together. You have to keep the flame medium. Cook the mixture until the mixture becomes thick. Now turn off the gas. Take out the mixture in a plate and cut it into desired shapes.
Make pumpkin sweets for Diwali
- 2 cups pumpkin
- 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits
- 3 tsp milk powder
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 cup dry coconut
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
- water as required
To make pumpkin sweets, cut two cups of pumpkin pieces, boil them in water and grind them. Along with the pumpkin mixture, add my crushed peanuts, cardamom powder, milk powder. Now mix it well and let it settle in the tray. Now cut the barfi into pieces and enjoy the delicious pumpkin dessert.
