Big update for SBI customers, these services will not be able to be used on this day

If you are a customer of State Bank of India (SBI) and use online banking or UPI, then this news is very important for you. SBI has officially informed that on the night of October 11, the bank is going to temporarily close many of its digital services for some time.

This closure is not due to any technical fault, but due to regular maintenance being done by the bank. During this time, the bank will upgrade its system so that customers can get better services in future.

Which services will be affected and when?

SBI’s UPI, YONO app, Internet Banking, NEFT, RTGS and IMPS services will not work during this scheduled maintenance. This means that you will neither be able to do any transaction through the YONO app nor send or receive money through UPI during this time.

The bank has said that this service closure will start at 1:10 am on October 11 and will continue till 2:10 am. That means these services will be disrupted for a total of 60 minutes. SBI posted on social media, “Our services will be temporarily closed from 1:10 am to 2:10 am on October 11. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers and thank them for their cooperation.”

What should the customer do?

If you have to send money to someone, pay bills or do any online transaction, it would be better if you complete this work before 1 am on October 11. The bank has advised that during this period customers can use their nearest ATM. Also, for those who use UPI, it is a matter of relief that the UPI Lite service will remain operational during this period. With this you can do small transactions.

Apart from this, keeping cash with you for emergencies can also be a wise step. If you have an account with any other bank, you can also use the services of that bank. This maintenance is being done by SBI at a time when just a few days ago, on October 8, many customers had complained about interruption in UPI services. At that time also the bank had advised customers to use UPI Lite.
