Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are all set to reunite on screen for an upcoming film, sources have confirmed exclusively to India Today.
While details about the film project remain under wraps, the project is tentatively titled ‘VD 14’. The reunion of Vijay and Rashmika is bound to generate buzz among fans, who continue to celebrate the duo’s past hits, ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Dear Comrade’.
The film will be directed by , According to sources, Rashmika, who is currently in Hyderabad shooting for ‘Thama’, will also begin filming for the untitled project, managing both productions simultaneously.
“The duo was supposed to begin shoot last week. However, with Vijay diagnosed with dengue, the schedule got pushed,” a source revealed.
Rashmika has a packed slate ahead, with ‘The Girlfriend’ and ‘Mysaa’ in the pipeline. Vijay, meanwhile, will be seen next in the spy-action thriller ‘Kingdom’, co-starring Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev, followed by ‘SVC 59’, currently in development.
Their and social media interactions have long fuelled speculation about a real-life relationship, though neither has officially confirmed it. Rashmika recently took to Instagram to wish Vijay a belated birthday, calling him “Vijju,” and even reacted to ‘Kingdom’ trailer, which instantly got fans excited. Vijay, in a recent conversation, also confirmed that he is no longer single.
With both stars returning to the screen together, the anticipation around this project is expected to be high.
