Karan Johar clarified his recent statement on home production film ‘Homebound’. He told that this comment was from a business perspective and not a criticism of the film. Karan said, he is proud of the film and wants to take it to a global audience.
Karan Johar has expressed his views candidly about Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound. Recently, there is a lot of discussion on social media regarding his comment in an interview. Now he has broken his silence on this. Curran said in the podcast Game Changers that he focuses on profit with every project, and he is not sure whether another Homebound will be made.

Some users on social media have criticized Karan’s statement. After being criticized for this, Karan issued a statement on Instagram Stories on Friday evening giving clarification. He said, “I appeal to my friends and media friends not to misunderstand or misunderstand what I say on our film Homebound… This was a normal conversation on the commercial of our films… I will always be proud of Homebound… It is always our best and most emotionally made film in our collection of films.
He further added, “We are actively working to bring our film a bigger audience and presence globally and are also thrilled with the domestic viewership that is increasing day by day.”

Karan Johar had said in a recent interview, “I have just made a film Homebound, which has been appreciated by the critics and we hope that it will get a small audience, but I can’t say today whether I will probably take such decisions in the future… It will be very sad but I have chosen this deal for one main reason. I have just made Homebound, but I am not sure that I will be able to take this decision again in the future. Of course it will hurt me, But we also have to see our profits.
Many users pointed out that Dharma’s other release, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” (released on 2 October), was released on more screens than “Homebound” (released on 26 September).
Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, “Homebound” stars Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film has received a lot of praise since its release and is in its third week in theatres.
