Karisma Kapoor Gets Rohit Sharma Dancing to ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’; Cricketer Says ‘My Day Is Made’

Bollywood actor Karisma Kapoor brought back 1990s nostalgia by getting former India captain Rohit Sharma to dance to her popular song ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’ from the 1997 romantic musical Dil To Pagal Hai on the sets of the game show Family Full House.

In a promotional video shared by the channel, Rohit is seen matching steps with Karisma to the much-loved track, recreating a memorable moment for fans of the film.

The cricketer was visibly excited after dancing with the actor and recalled how he had watched the film and practised its dance moves.

“We used to watch the movie and practise these steps so much, and today I got to dance. I had never imagined that I would get the opportunity to dance with you. My day is made,” Rohit said, adding that he thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

In another video, Karisma praised Rohit’s performance as a host, describing him as effortless and charming.

“I think Rohit was an amazing host. He was so effortless, and had such a charming personality. Obviously, on the field and off the field, as a host he was just amazing,” she said.

‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’ featured in Yash Chopra’s Dil To Pagal Hai, which was released in 1997. The energetic track was sung by Asha Bhosle and Udit Narayan, with music composed by Uttam Singh and lyrics written by Anand Bakshi. Renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar choreographed the song, which remains associated with Karisma’s memorable performances from the decade.

Karisma made her Bollywood debut at the age of 15 and became one of the leading actresses of the 1990s. Her appearance alongside Rohit on the show brought together two familiar faces from Indian entertainment and cricket in a light-hearted dance moment.
