The Central Government is once again going to brainstorm on a large scale with the aim of making India a developed nation by the year 2047. The 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog will be held in New Delhi on June 11 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Representatives from all the states and union territories of the country will participate in this important meeting. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has also reached New Delhi on Tuesday to attend the meeting.
This meeting is taking place at a time when the Central and State Governments are preparing strategies in various sectors to implement the vision of Developed India 2047. It is believed that in this meeting there will be extensive discussion on topics like human resource development, employment, skills and social equality.

‘Inclusive human development’ will be the main theme of the meeting
The theme of this time’s Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog has been – ‘Inclusive Human Development for a Developed India by 2047’. Its objective is to ensure that every section of the society is involved in the process of development and the benefits of the country’s progress reach the last person.
In the meeting, Chief Ministers of States and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories will meet to discuss models that can strengthen India’s human capital in the coming years.
Special focus will be on these four major subjects
Four such areas have been included in the agenda of the meeting which are considered the foundation of developed India-
- Basic human capital and future-ready skills: Emphasis will be laid on providing skills to the youth of the country in line with changing technology and global needs. New models of education and skill development are also likely to be discussed.
- Productive employment, entrepreneurship and decentralized development: Measures to increase employment opportunities, encourage local level industries and strengthen entrepreneurship will be considered. There will be focus on employment generation especially for youth and rural areas.
- Health, Nutrition and Wellness: States’ experiences will be shared for better health services, nutrition related schemes and overall well-being of citizens. There can also be discussion on increasing coordination between the Center and the states.
- Equality and dignity for all: There will be discussions on effective policies to connect the weaker and deprived sections of the society to the mainstream of development. Suggestions from states regarding social justice and equal opportunities can also come up in the meeting.
There will also be discussion on employment and entrepreneurship
According to sources, there will be a special discussion in the meeting on measures to promote entrepreneurship across the country, make skill development programs more effective for the youth and create permanent employment opportunities. Employment and human resource development are being considered as the most important pillars in achieving the goal of developed India.
Who will attend the meeting?
This meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog is considered to be one of the largest cooperative federal forums in the country. It will include Chief Ministers of all states, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers, Vice Chairman, Members and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of NITI Aayog.
The vision of developed India 2047 will get new momentum
To achieve the goal of Developed India 2047 set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, better coordination between the Center and the states is considered necessary. In such a situation, this meeting of NITI Aayog can prove to be not just an administrative program but an important platform to decide the future development strategy of the country.
