Big offer from Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council on Diwali, up to 15% discount on buying flats in all districts including Lucknow. The interest rate was reduced to 8.50% and possession will be given on half the payment. This offer will be valid if booking is done till 31 January 2026.
There is good news for those who want to make their dream of buying a house come true this Diwali. Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council has announced to give a special discount of maximum 15% to the buyers of vacant flats in all the districts of the state including the capital Lucknow.
This decision was taken in the 273rd board meeting of the council held at its headquarters on Mall Avenue on Thursday. Council Secretary Neeraj Shukla said that this additional discount will be available to those booking till January 31, 2026. Awas Vikas currently has more than 2000 vacant flats available in Lucknow itself.
Know the new terms of discount and payment
Earlier the Council used to give only 5% discount on full payment within 60 days, which has now been increased three times to 15%. 10% discount if payment is made within 90 days.
- The interest rate has been reduced from 11.50% to 8.50%.
- Immediate possession on half payment, remaining amount to be paid in 10 year installments.
- Up to additional 2% discount on full balance payment midway.

Preparation of new schemes and OTS scheme
Housing Development Council is going to bring new housing schemes in five other districts of the state. OTS (One Time Settlement) scheme will also be launched for customers soon. Under this, first registration, then allotment of flat and plot will be done.
Status of Avadh Vihar and other projects
Construction of two towers (one 2BHK and one 3BHK) out of the proposed 7 towers in Saryu Enclave of Avadh Vihar Yojana Sector-7E has been completed. 27 flats of the 2BHK tower have been sold, while the tender process for the remaining is underway. It has been decided to auction the remaining 5 towers for Rs 319 crore.
Apart from this, there are preparations to auction one more parking plot in Ghaziabad in Vrindavan scheme and 35 educational plots in Lucknow in a single bit.
