The land partly allocated to Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), was allegedly occupied illegally by an individual named Parthasarathi using a fake survey number (403/52), which he then fenced, deployed bouncers and blocked a planned water reservoir project, Hydraa said in a statement.
The agency with the help of police and revenue teams, demolished sheds and secured the site while criminal cases have been filed against the encroacher.
Revenue and Water Board officials complained to Hydraa and filed 4 criminal cases against Parthasarathi at the Banjara Hills Police Station.
Hydraa has confirmed that Parthasarathi is claiming 5 acres of government land as his own with an on-registered sale deed. The agency has removed the fencing erected by Parthasarathi as well as the sheds inside while it has erected fencing around 5 acres and put up boards declaring it as government land, officials said.
Parthasarathi was not available for comment.
Encroachments razed earlier this month:
Earlier this month, Hydra personnel had demolished illegal structures on a 36-acre government plot in Bhikshapati Nagar next to the RTA office under tight security.
As per the High Court verdict in this issue, Hydra had undertaken the removal of encroachments.
