TMC Leader Baby Koley Brutally Beats Senior CPI(M) Leader Anil Das, Pours Ink & Paint On Him At Crowded Market In WB’s Kharagpur (VIDEO)

Kharagpur, June 30: In a shocking incident, political violence took place in broad daylight in West Bengal’s Kharagpur area in front of a crowd on Monday.

The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Baby Koley is seen hitting and physically assaulting senior CPI(M) leader Anil Das in the middle of the road. Onlookers filmed the incident and made the video viral on social media.

There are reports that the incident occurred when Anil Das allegedly protested against the illegal demolition of a wall belonging to a local resident in Kharagpur’s Kharida area on Monday morning. There are reports that the demolition was being carried out by Baby Koley and her associates.

 

 

The video of the incident was shared on social media with the caption, “TMC leader Baby Koley caught on camera allegedly assaulting senior CPM leader Anil Das – beaten, clothes torn, ink splashed – all in broad daylight as bystanders look on in silence.”

The video clearly shows that the leader and her other female associates are brutally thrashing Anil Das in the middle of the street. The women can be seen hitting him with his clothes torn, they then push him to the ground and pour blue ink all over him. He was humiliated in the middle of a crowded market and the video surfaced on social media. The onlookers became silent spectators and did not intervene to save the elderly leader from the women.

Anil Das also tried to escape the women by taking shelter inside a paint shop located nearby, however, the attackers followed him inside. They threw a can of paint on him due to which he suffered injuries. He rushed to the police station and filed a written complaint against Baby Koley and her associates.

 The police said that they have registered a complaint in connection with the matter and initiated an investigation into the matter. They are also reviewing the CCTV footage and also interrogating the eyewitnesses as part of the inquiry.
