After its launch in China, the Oppo Reno 16 series may soon come to India. A Geekbench listing has revealed that the phone may have Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, 12GB RAM and Android 16 operating system.
New Delhi. The Oppo Reno 16 series, which was launched in China last month, may soon enter India as well. The company has not made any official announcement in this regard yet, but according to reports, the Indian and global variants of Reno 16 have been seen on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Some special features of the phone have been revealed from this listing.
The model number of the device seen on Geekbench is CPH2865. Tech experts believe that this is the Indian and global variant of Oppo Reno 16. According to the information received from the listing, the phone will have an octa-core processor. The base clock speed of this chip with ARMv8 architecture is 1.84GHz.
If we look at the core configuration of the processor, one core works at a speed of 2.80GHz, three cores work at 2.40GHz and four cores work at a speed of 1.84GHz. According to reports, this setup is matched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. This is the same chip which is currently being used in many smartphones like Motorola Edge 70, Vivo T4 Pro and Realme 15 Pro.
Talking about memory, around 10.98GB RAM is visible on Geekbench. It is expected that the company will launch it in the market with 12GB RAM. For graphics, the phone may have Adreno 722 GPU. Apart from this, it is also being said that the device will run on Android 16 operating system, on which Oppo will have its own ColorOS 16 interface.
In terms of performance, in the Geekbench 6.7.1 test, this phone has scored 1,240 points in single-core and 3,994 points in multi-core. In comparison, the Motorola Edge 70 with the same chip scored 1,296 points in single-core and 3,919 points in multi-core. From these figures, it is expected that Reno 16 will provide a good experience in daily tasks, multitasking and gaming.
However, for other information like the phone’s camera, battery, charging technology, price and launch date in India, we will have to wait for the company’s official announcement. Considering the strong competition in the smartphone market, it will be interesting to see how much the Reno 16 is liked by Indian customers.
