News9 Global Summit 2025

The second edition of News9 Global Summit 2025 organized by TV9 Network, India’s leading news network, was held in Stuttgart on 9th and 10th October in Germany. In this event, emphasis was laid on further strengthening the bilateral relations between India and Germany in the changing global order. The summit was addressed by several senior individuals, including Andreas Lapp, former Chairman, LAPP Group.

India’s culture is older than China’s

Andreas Lapp said in his address that Stuttgart has now become not just a city, but a home for everyone. She shared her business experience in India for 45 years and revealed that her mother led the industry as a woman in the 1950s, which was very unusual at that time. Giving an example, Lapp said that his mother played an important role in determining the quality of the control cables of his brand Girtlex.

He also stressed the importance of culture. Lapp said that China’s culture is 5,000 years old, India’s is 6,000 years old and the music culture in Stuttgart is 30,000 years old. He said that India should respect its culture and also remember its global contribution.

India’s economy is growing rapidly

Giving examples of cooperation in sports and education, Lapp said that a football ground was constructed in Bangalore and an annual tournament is organized. India-Germany partnership in science and education has grown, especially in more than 100 schools. In the health sector, he said that India helped the world by producing vaccines during the global pandemic, which is often less shown in the media.

In the field of economy, he said that India is currently the fifth economy in the world and can reach the third position in a few years. India is already at second position in terms of lab groups. Finally, Andreas Lapp said that politics is made not just by governments, but also by businessmen, artists, students and citizens, and all summit attendees are involved in this bridge-building process.
