Anew glimpse into director Sundar C’s devotional thriller ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’, featuring Nayanthara, titled ‘The World of Mahasakthi’, has been released, exciting fans.
Vels Film International, the production house, shared the video, highlighting the film’s grace, power, and grandeur. Scheduled for a grand Diwali release on November 6, 2026, the film is set to deliver a significant cinematic experience.
The teaser opens with a dire warning of two great forces clashing. A village elder alerts his community to suspicious outsiders planning a major event. Regina Cassandra appears as a formidable antagonist wielding dark powers, with a sorcerer seen practicing black magic, aiming to gather children and a woman for a ritual. Villagers are shown desperately pleading for divine intervention.
Nayanthara, initially portraying a timid police officer in Mylanji with her mother, soon transforms into the powerful Goddess Mookuthi Amman. The video culminates in a fierce battle between the dark forces and the divine, promising a high-stakes confrontation. The film’s shooting concluded in December last year, with over 2000 technicians working tirelessly for six months. Actress Urvashi confirmed this sequel is a standalone story, distinct from the first blockbuster. Producer Ishari K Ganesh previously revealed Nayanthara fasted for a month to embody the goddess role authentically.
