Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party has released the first list of 51 candidates for Bihar elections 2025. In this, RCP Singh’s daughter Lata Singh has been made the candidate from CM Nitish’s home district Nalanda. The party aims to field candidates on all 243 seats.
Patna: In view of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Prashant Kishor’s new party Jan Suraj has declared the names of 51 candidates in its first list. In the first list, full care has been taken of the political and social balance of Bihar. The party has made it clear that this is only the beginning and in the coming days, a new list will be released every one or two days, so that the announcement of candidates for 243 seats can be completed. The most talked about topic was the eighth seat of Nalanda, where the party has played a big bet from the district of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Entry of RCP’s daughter in Nitish’s district
Jan Suraj has made Lata Singh the candidate from Asthawan assembly seat of Nalanda. Lata Singh, who is the daughter of former JDU president RCP Singh, is now entering the electoral battleground in CM Nitish Kumar’s home district. There is talk in political circles that Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant can also contest from this seat, due to which the contest for Asthawan seat has become very interesting and high-profile.
Jan Suraj President Uday Singh said, “It has been our endeavor to ensure that people of every region and every identity get representation. Lata Singh contesting from this seat is part of the party’s strategy to maintain a balance between both young and old voters.” Jan Suraj’s first list includes names like KC Sinha, Ritesh Pandey, Preeti Kinnar. This is the first time in Bihar politics that tickets have been given to representatives of education, star power and marginalized sections of the society.
